Boiled wool felt in close-up. The fibres are matted into a surface that cuts without fraying.

Care

The cheapest garment is the one you already own

A garment that lasts ten years has a tenth of the annual cost and a tenth of the footprint of one that lasts a year. Everything on this page is about that.

Cashmere 2/26 in charcoal, woven in Biella. Fine hairs lie in layers over an almost black surface and catch the light from the left.
Cashmere is better aired than washed. Hand wash at 30 degrees with wool detergent, dry flat.
Sand-washed mulberry silk, 19 momme, in Cartagena yellow. The sheen is matt and runs in soft waves diagonally across the fabric.
Silk is dry cleaned. Water leaves marks that do not come out, and deodorant corrodes it.
European linen at 165 grams in natural white. Warp and weft are clearly visible and the slubs run as thickenings through the weave.
Linen takes 40 degrees. Dry on a hanger, iron damp.

How to renew PFAS-free water repellency

Our water-repellent treatment is fluorine-free. That means it lasts a shorter time than a traditional one and that it needs activating.

Wash the garment clean. Tumble dry on low heat for twenty minutes, or iron on low heat with a cloth in between. The heat lifts the fibres again and the repellency comes back. When that is no longer enough: reproof with a fluorine-free product.

Repair

We repair what we have made
Send the garment in during the first year and we repair it free of charge. After that at cost.
A piece of fabric is included
Every garment comes with a piece of the same fabric from the same batch, for repairs and repair tests.
Spare parts
Buttons, collar stays and cords are held in stock for at least five years after a style is discontinued.

A hole in a cashmere scarf is not the end. Invisible mending costs a few hundred kronor and makes the scarf whole again without a trace. We can put you in touch.
