La Franja
Cashmere scarf with hand-knotted fringe
SEK 2,400
Frans is the Swedish word for the fringe on a scarf. That is why this scarf is the first thing we make, and why the fringe is knotted by hand rather than cut.
Eleven minutes per scarf go into the fringe. It is the one part a machine does not do better, and the one part you recognise from ten metres away.
Two saffron picks and one in guacamaya run through the weave a little way up from each end. The rest is charcoal.
